Rona Lee works with a variety of media alongside other forms of engagement and intervention. Operating between gallery and other settings her work is research led and determined by the context, geographic, technological or epistemological, to which it is a response. Conceptually and thematically environments and phenomena that cannot be easily regulated or measured - the fluid, inconsistent and uncertain, form a central interest within her work. She has received a range of awards and grants and shown work in conjunction with: Beaconsfield, The Ikon Gallery, The Contemporary Art Society, Tate Modern, Firstsite, Newlyn Art Gallery, Henie Onstad Museum, Oslo, San Francisco Art Commissions Gallery, La Chambre Blanche, Quebec City and The Irish Museum of Modern Art. She is currently Reader in Fine Art Practice at Wolverhampton University and Honorary Research Fellow at London Metropolitan University.
